connected but cannot ping client<>server

Hi folks.

SE Server:
I have a VPS server on Digital Ocean (DO)
Installed SE server on the VPS
Enabled LT2P over IPsec
Created Virtual Hub with default settings
Created user with complex password
Created a local bridge with default settings using physical eth0 LAN adapter
Using port 5555

SE Client:
Installed SE client on Windows 10.
Created VPN Client Adapter with defaults
Created connection with defaults and user/password created above.
Using port 5555

Opened 5555 on DO server

Start connection - CONNECTED ! Great

But, within seconds I had IP 116.48.48.121 connected to the network. confirmed in Sessions. A quick whois reveals this IP is in Hong Kong !!
I have one user and password - belive me the password cannot be hacked - its 20 characters long and garble!!

TOTALLY INSECURE

Anyway, I was going to ask how I can ping between server and client. How do I find the VPN addresses of each? I want to ping each from the other. This works flawlessly under Algo/wireguard

I am concerned about that 116.48.48.121 connection though!
