Can someone confirm the following:
With a softether default setup (ssl vpn, L2 integration of client in the VPN Servers network and DHCP), the client gets an IP from the DHCP server inside the servers network. The IP assigned to the client depends on the MAC address of the client. The MAC of the client is the MAC of the virtual network-card which is created once when the client setup is done. It does not change (unless the client installation is redone or the virtual network card is deleted).
So, the IP which the client gets depends only on the DHCP server. If I reserve a lease for a MAC address of a client on the DHCP server it will be the same as a static IP.
Is this correct?
