SoftEther VPN User Forum

Hi all,

I have set up a VPN server on a linux machine XXX.XXX.X.60 I get the VPN up and running with no issues. The problem is while I am connected to the VPN I can't ping or connect to the server machine .60.

With the rest of the machines on my LAN I have no issues, only when I try to connect to the server machine.

I've been searching the internet for this issues and find out that I need to set up a local bridge and a tap device, but I'm lost at this point and need some assistance to solve this.

If you only need to do this occasionally then the easiest thing may be to just connect to another host on your LAN then ssh back to the softether VPN server, that's the easiest solution.
