hi
i have a VPS rented for 6 months and need to install the vpn server on it for 1o to 20 clients so they can use the uncensored internet .
my vps is located in Amsterdam and i don't know how to setup my vpn? some pepole suggest OpenVPN, some other say use windows vpn server.
my vps has windows 12 r2 installed.

please some one help me to chose the best free vpn server application so i can connect my clients to the free internet.

i do not know anything about VPN server installation. but i have IT background and am able to execute any instructions you provide.

Regarding windows built in VPN, I would not recommend this (especially when you are not familiar with VPN matters). More complicated, longer Setup
openVPN or Softether:
Both are based on TLS for encryption. Both have client for major OS which work.
Softether can also be used as a Server for Windows nativ SSTP VPN-Client: If you dont like to install software on a client or the client dont like additional software you can hand out username+password plus a certificate to the client.
There is no Softeher client for MacOS (unless you have an M1 CPU).If you have MacOS you have to install an OpenVPN client on MacOS (like tunnelblick) or use the MacOS LT2P built in client (Softether is compatible to both).

I would prefer SoftEther: It is better integrated in Windows OS (nicer console), simpler to setup, might even be faster as OpenVPN.

I have more questions about the pricing and clients number limitations on softether.
How many clients can connect to it at the same time?
I have about 20 clients.
Is it free of cost or i should pay for a 20 user license one?

Softether is free and open source (years ago it was a commercial prodct called packetIX). There a no hidden costs or limitations.
The same applies for the community edition of OpenVPN

I cannot tell if the VPS appliance you have will be good for 20 clients, but I guess it will be ok.

I have a vps with 2700mhs 4 core cpu, 8gb ram,100gb disk space
Unlimited bandwidth
What else do i require do you think?
I have win 12 r2 installed on it.

The topic was a bit complicated and some how i dropped the idea but yet will be happy if someone gives me an easier solution
