hi
I am trying to set up my Helium Hotspot, in an area where there is no internet connection available. I am considering to use 4G simcared as internet data for The router, however, the problem is I need a static IP address for the device in order to do the port forwarding. Is it possible to get a static IP with the Softether VPN and solve this problem? if yes how do I do it please ?

much appreciated your help

To make port forwarding working, you need a public IP address on the WAN interface of the router. Most mobile network does not give you a public address.
So you need to make sure that you do have a public address first.
How to make the private IP static is the second issue and is fairly easy to do. Fix the lease in the router settings or simply set the IP manually on the server.
