Rasperry PI gets overheated with SofEhter

Post by donpedro » Mon Jan 03, 2022 12:32 am

Hi,

I followed this instruction to install SoftEther on Rapsberry PI and it was successful.

https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopi ... fc06aa0064

However after connecting the client CPU load is > 100% by vpnserver. See screenshot. Any idea ??

On a multicore Pi, this behaviour is not strange in the 'top' command. To toggle total CPU usage across all cores, use ctrl+I. What Raspberry Pi are you using?

I'm using PI 4b. I think this is related to virtual NAT and virtual DHCP but sometimes load is low and sometimes is 100% or more with no reason and even no client connected. When is running low playing Netfilix increases CPU load to 25%.

I'm running SoftEther VPN Server on a RaspBerry Pi 64-bit bullseye OS with no temperature problems.
