Android and iOS connexions

Hello,

We use a softether VPN server installed on a Windows virtual machine. Windows PCs connect with their softether client and with a NT authentication to get in our network. No problem.

Now, we want to use phones to connect on the softether server.

I followed https://www.softether.org/4-docs/2-howt ... nd_Android from Step 2 and then https://www.softether.org/4-docs/2-howt ... nt_Setting for iphone and https://www.softether.org/4-docs/2-howt ... ient_Setup for Android.

It doesn't connect on either phone.

If I compare with the windows client I usually install for my users, I think the VPN connection on phones lacks the name of the Virtual Hub (we use three different ones) and the port (we use 5555).
There may be more to add. Has someone some experiences to share to help me in this installation ?

Thanks.

This topic should help.
TLDR - do port forwarding for UDP 500, 4500, 1194 and TCP 443, 5555, 992

Thanks a lot ! :)

As the Windows VM running the VPN server has been installed by a distant predecessor, are we talking about this part of VPN Server ?

And there is still the choice of the Virtual Hub that is still unclear for me. I don't know how to pass this choice through the VPN menus of Android and iOS phones...

Proceed as follows:

- can your Android connect to VPN Gate using L2TP/IPsec?
- if yes, do port forwarding for UDP 500, 4500, 1194 and TCP 443, 5555, 992 on your router
- if your VM host isn't bridged, do port forwarding for UDP 500, 4500, 1194 and TCP 443, 5555, 992 on your VM manager
- enable L2TP/IPsec in SE exactly as advised in your OP
- try phone connection

It must work, failure isn't an option ;-)
