Hello everyone,

I am trying to set a local bridge with SoftEther VPN on a Google VM with Windows Server 2019. When I configure the bridge the only Network Adapter I see is the Red Hat adapter but when I set the local bridge with that I was not able to ping the local server from the remote. However, I was able to ping the local server when I used the SecureNAT option. The network adapter I am connected to internet is Google VirtIO. Is it possible to set a local bridge on a Google VM with Windows Server 2019 and how?

Thanks

Thank you for replying. I have installed MLA and set a bridge in SoftEther. The status of the bridge indicates it is operating. However, when I disable the SecureNAT and only use the bridge the remote is not assigned an IP. Although SoftEther Client connects to VPN I can not ping the local server from the remote.

Assuming SecureNAT defaults, set the MLA to 192.168.30.2 and from a client ping it.

I can ping the MLA (192.168.30.2) from client when SecureNAT is enabled but I can not ping it when SecureNAT is disabled.

If you don't like SecureNAT, disable it and set your client to 192.168.30.3 - it'll ping.
