Softether is not hiding my public IP.

My setup

Host:
- Softether VPN (Local Bridge, SecureNAT)
- Web Server
- NGINX

Client:
- Windows 11
- Connected to Host using L2TP

Verify with https://whatismyipaddress.com/, and is able to see that my IP address is the Host's public IP address

But when I connect to my Web Server. NGINX reported my Client's Public IP address instead of the Host IP.

May I know what is wrong with my setup?

In your client's routing table you will find a static route to the server and everything works exactly as expected despite this error...

Such config is rarely allowed and in limited extent only - pick one.

You mean pick either Local Bridge or SecureNAT?

Actually the Local Bridge is not working. Even if I deleted it. The result is still the same.

What OS is the VPN host running?

OS is irrelevant. VPN host configuration is irrelevant too. The non-issue happens on VPN client where a direct route to SoftEther or any other VPN server must exist, hence "when I connect to my Web Server, NGINX reported my Client's Public IP address instead of the Host IP".

Is it clear now?
