Windows 11 Pro getting "Installation of the Virtual Network Adapter device driver failed" Windows user is local administrator, tried SoftEther beta version and latest non-beta version, same error. Ran installer "As Administrator" same error. cleared temp files, ran sfc /scannow, no errors. Connected to Internet via WiFi network marked as "Private". Have installed and setup SoftEther VPN on Windows many times on many computers over the last few years, first time to get this error, can't think of solution.

softether-vpnclient 5.02 5187 the same error occurs on latest Windows 10 with all updates.

Windows 7 displays a warning message about this driver, but the driver installs and works.

I suspect, this issue is related to an unsigned or incorrectly signed driver. Latest windows does not allow unsigned drivers.

The OP got a Qualcomm Snapdragon Windows 11 - SE will not work on ARM64 (atm).

"Note that emulation only supports user mode code and does not support drivers; any kernel mode components must be compiled as Arm64."

I've the same problem on Windows 11 PRO
softether-vpnclient 5.02 5187 AMD Ryzen 5 5560U with Radeon Graphics 2.30 GHz I also can't edit the Windows created VPN virtual network adapter, but Kerio and Zyxel Vpn clients work fine.

v5 is a DEVELOPER EDITION, bugs are expected.

SE v4, Windows 11 - no problem whatsoever.
