SoftEther VPN User Forum

My antivirus keeps alerting me that vpnclient_x64.exe is trying to establish a connection to malicious sites, and I don't know why this is happening. I checked the application folder and found a bunch of server logs (why would there be server logs, I only use it as a vpn client)?!? Softether VPN is really great and I would like to continue being able to use it, but I can't if it keeps doing this. Does anyone know why? A user had a similar issue here:

but I couldn't find a solution, a response just says something about the vpn gate server function, which I really don't know anything about and haven't enabled.

Thanks a lot. However, I would like to be able to connect to public relay servers without acting as a host myself. Is that possible?

No worries, just turn it off.
