Route ipv6 traffic through vpn to avoid IP address leaks

Post by amosfuegel » Thu Mar 20, 2025 2:07 am

Hello, I am having problems with hiding my IP address when using a VPN. Specifically, when I check my IP address, I notice that: My IPv4 traffic is routed through the VPN and shows the location of the VPN server. However, my IPv6 traffic still shows my real IP address and real location.

This indicates that the location tracker is using IPv6 instead of IPv4, and my VPN does not seem to hide my IPv6 address properly.

I tried running the AccessAdd6 command with the default values, but nothing changed—IPv4 and IPv6 still show different locations.

What do I need to do to set up IPv6 support for my VPN server and ensure that all traffic, including IPv6, is routed through the VPN to avoid IP leaks? Thanks
