shared 3g connection and softether vpn?

Post by jos » Thu Apr 09, 2015 6:15 am

Im sharing a 3g connection on win xp and wifi users connected to the WLAN switch can access the internet via 3g.
When I connect the softether client to a vpn server, the wifi connections to the internet just die.
Has anybody done this or know where I can find a solution or How-To? I suspect I need to configure IP's

I forgot to mention, that the VPN connection is on the same XP box where the 3G is shared, and that works fine.

The SoftEther client changes the default route when it connects to a VPN server, which will disconnect Windows ICS sessions.

To get the desired result, you must understand IP routing and interface metrics. Check the SoftEther documentation for instructions on how to disable automatic route updates and set appropriate static routes for the VPN connection.
