I am a new home user, and just installed the server and client on two computers.
if I connect by the softether vpn client(vpnazure.net), everthing is good.
when I try to connect by L2TP/IPsec via computer or android phone, both of them failed.
what I made sure are:
Server side:
1. enable the router with L2TP/IPsec passthrough.
2. followed the document of "Setup L2TP/IPsec VPN Server on SoftEther VPN Server"
and enabled:
L2TP Server Function (L2TP over IPsec)
L2TP Server Function (Raw L2TP with No Encryption)
IPsec Pre-Shared Key
Client side:
followed the document of Windows L2TP Client Setup and Android L2TP Client Setup
But still no luck, hope someone can tell me what I can be wrong? or missing?
Regards!

Check your login name.
Login name@ virtual hub

Re: L2TP/IPsec not working
I tried that, also set up the only virtual hub as default, so it shouldn't be necessary.

Check the firewall if all necessary ports being open.
Check the server what error logged and see if the client can reach the server.

Hi,
On the home router, I set up the following:
1. L2TP/IPsec pass through
2. port triggering of 500, 4500
3. port forwarding: 500, 4500 to the IP of my VPN server.
anything else I need to do?
Regards!

Re: L2TP/IPsec not working
Default port for l2tp is 443. You need to port forward this too.

Didn't you connect to VPNAzure address?
VPNAzure doesn't support L2TP/IPSec.
