Hi,
I've just installed a new computer and as usual I've installed the SoftEther VPN Client to connect to one SoftEther Server.
But for the first time I'm running into a strange issue, I've got the following message when I'm trying to run SoftEther VPN Client:
"Unable to connect to the VPN Client service operating on Local Computer.
Make sure the VPN Client service has started and is running normally."
However the SoftEther VPN Client service is running. I've try to uninstall, reinstall, try different versions, stop the service, run it again, disable Windows Firewall, make exceptions in the Firewall. But I'm lacking of other options to make it work. Do you have any ideas ?
My system is Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center x64
It's working well on one of my laptop with the same OS, I don't know what I've missed on that one.
Thanks for your help,

Re: Can't run VPN Client
Yes I did. The pop up telling me this error message arrive instantly. I've check the port 9930 with currports and it's SEVPNCLIENT service listening. Should have something blocking it or a library missing, I really don't have any clue of what I could try...

Re: Can't run VPN Client
Are you sure you have installed the VPNClient and not the ClientManager ? The installer contains 2 programs and you should install the first one (SoftEther VPN Client).
I'm saying that because when you try to connect to a client that doesn't exists using the Client Manager (the 2nd program), you get the exact same message you had.

Hey, I've restarted my TCP/IP stack on Windows, did a clean uninstall with removing registry keys, installing again and it's finally working !
Thanks for your help :)
