SoftetherVPN support for iOS 14 and macOS Big Sur
Apple has a new update that requires to truncate the output of the SHA-256 hash to 128 bits. We have macos users that can't connect to our VPN after updating to macOS Big Sur. How do I change this in the l2tp settings of VPN server?

May be the same problem:
After a some time I installed SE from source to the latest raspbian on raspberrypi.
With the shock I realized that it was not working! But it used to work on tens of different systems in the past, from the same source.
Fortunately somebody already found that problem was latest openssl. I needed to increase in encrypt.c number of bits for some variable in function regarding RSA. So it means, they changed something in the latest openssl. I do not know if apple is using it or its fork.

I solved the problem in one of our Big Sur laptops by manually setting the DNS servers (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) on the L2TP interface directly.
However, iOS 14 tablets are still not working. Has anyone found a solution for them??

Is this still a valid bug, or has it been squashed since it was detected earlier this year?

For users on iOS and Mac with Apple Silicon, you can use SSTP Connect, which supports SoftEther protocol natively.

Thanks! So I take it the bug hasn't been fixed then? :-(
I was hoping to use the native Mac VPN setting in Network because I was hoping the office staff wouldn't even notice a change.
