IP address does not change

When I first installed the vpn client it worked without any problems. Now even though the VPN client says I am connected my IP address does not change. Can anyone explain why this is happening and how to fix it?

The VPN client does not change you're IP address. Instead it uses an virtual adapter which get's an IP address from the SE server. So you should see 2 network adapters.

When I started I would go to myIP and the IP address was that of the server I chose. Now I get the IP address assigned by my ISP. Since I am new to VPN I don't know what to look for. If you could elaborate on your answer it will be appreciated.

That the IP address via MyIp is showing you're ISP address means that internet trafic is routed thru you're normal interface and not the VPN adapter.
That is what most people want ...
Anyhow, if you use windows you should check if the metric on you're VPN adapters is set to automatic.
You can check with cmd / route print if the VPN address has an low metric then the physical adapter in which case windows will route internet trafic through the VPN adapter.

Greeting, i had similar issue where the vpn is "seem" connected but the server dont update my client ip.
my solution is change the option in secure NAT: (1)default ip address,(2)default distributed ip address,(3)default gateway adreess,(4)default dns server address to something else.
****default should be 192.168.20.X , so i change to something else like 192.168.2.X****
after changing,the server immediately issue and update my client ip and running whatmyip or speedtest will yield remote server ip. :-)
