vpnclient_x64.exe and vpncmgr_x64.exe create an instance for each user on Remote Desktop Session Host.

Please see the attached file. I am using SoftEther for a Remote Desktop Session host but I have found it could be causing performance issues by creating an instance for every user, when in fact it is only System that is required.

Is there a way to configure SoftEther to run as a single System service that provides the tunnel for the entire host, rather than spawning per-user processes? I want the system to handle the VPN at the OS level so that user sessions simply inherit the route without the overhead of individual client instances.

Any advice on "service-only" mode or Registry tweaks to prevent the UI/Client from auto-launching in RDSH sessions would be greatly appreciated.

Install it with "System Administrator authority" https://www.softether.org/4-docs/1-manu ... rvice_Mode

Thanks. Isn't this for the server? It's the VPN Client that I have the issue with.

If they all connect to the same destination, then let the host connect there as admin, and then RDP users simply directly enter the remote LAN's address.
