Dear Community,
I'm trying to connect to an IPSEC VPN server embedded into a Stormshield firewall, from a Windows 11 machine. I've got the server certificate (-> Manage Trusted CA Certificate List), a username and a password (Auth type = Standard Password Authentication), created a VPN adapter and a VPN connection with information above.
However, the client fails to connect, returning Error 1 and I have no clue why...
Did anyone here ever try to connect to a firewall this way?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Connecting to a Stormshield firewall VPN
Hi Solo, thanks for the answer!
However, I've already tried to configure Windows' embedded IPSEC client but Windows 11 does not provide that much settings and I just can't create the new connection properly. This is the reason why (as the article says 😉) I'd rather try SoftEther...
I have:
- The URL of the VPN server (my office firewall)
- The port (4500)
- The certificate of the server (.crt, for authentication)
- The user & password (for identification)
And yet always get this Error 1 message, while the client enters a dead loop...
