I have a number of external remote devices (iPad and Android) that connect to the VPN. The first one that connects gets a specific MAC address. If device "A" connects first it gets the address of CA-27-F2-E4-CC-55, if device "B" or "C" connects first then they will get that same MAC address.
Where is this MAC address coming from and how to fix it to a user or device?
(It is not coming from the device or the VPN client)
SoftEther 4.0 ver 4.15 build 9546 running bridged.
Thanks.
Client MAC Address - how are they generated?

[Bump]
Devs: How are the client MAC addressed generated and is there a table that can be edited?
L2TP using on iPad / Android

The mac address is not generated by the server, but is an attribute of the network interface on you're device.

The MAC address generated randomly by VPN server.
You can't specify it.

Re: Client MAC Address - how are they generated?
I agree that the VPN Server (SoftEther) is creating the MAC addresses.
It is not random, the first address is always "CA-27-F2-E4-CC-55".
I would a way to know when a specific device connects / reconnects.
Any hopes of getting a feature like this?
Is there any level 2 networking support with PASS through MAC addresses?
Thanks.

MAC address doesn't reach over the Internet.
Identification information isn't provided on L2TP.
