Problem configuring local bridge

Post by hatimux » Wed Jun 03, 2015 11:00 pm

Hi,

Here is the scheme of my network:

********-------------------------------*****************************
|Client| -------------R1-------(eth1)| SoftEther VPN Server |(eth0)
______-------------------------------____________________

eth1_IP = 10.0.5.1
eth0_IP = 10.0.3.1
Virtual Hub IP = 192.168.30.1

I'm using VMware workstation to deploy my machines. I'm using the latest version of SE VPN.

I'm connecting to my server correctly, I can get an IP address like 192.168.30.11 for my client virtual interface and I can ping the Virtual Hub IP 192.168.30.1.

Now I'm configuring a local bridge from my virtual hub to the physical interface eth0.
Normally after establishing the local bridge I should be able to ping the address 10.0.3.1 of eth0 from my client, but this is not working.

Any idea about the problem?

Thank you!

Hatim

Don't use localbridge and SecureNAT at same time.

I guess you use Linux on the server.
Generally, client can't access to NIC which is localbridged.
