Hi all. I've been using Softether for the last two weeks with no problems, until Friday morning. This morning I rebooted my computer and ever since I've been unable to open the client manager. When I try to run the client manager I get the error "Unable to connect to the VPN Client service operating on Local Computer. Make sure the VPN Client service has started and is running normally."
I've been around the forums looking for a solution to the problem and have tried everything I've found, so far nothing has helped. I'm running windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and have tried
1. Reinstalling Softether VPN
2. Uninstalling Softether VPN cleaning my registry of all traces of Softether and then reinstalling
3. Opening all ports and my firewall for Softether
4. Disabling my firewall completely
5. Rebuilding my tcp/ip stack
6. Reinstalling my network driver
I'm bashing my head into a wall at this point so anything would be helpful.
EDIT- I realized I'm missing some information,
-Softether version is v4.18-9570
-I'm not sure where to find the vpn_server.config or vpn_bridge.config files but will post them if someone can point me to them.
- I have screen shots of my "ipconfig /all" and "systeminfo" but I'm not sure what information to hide and I don't want to post them raw.

Re: Can't connect to client
My issue has been solved, sorta. I don't really understand WHY this worked but while I was looking for an alternate service I uninstalled ProxyCap, as part of the process to update it for my current computer configuration, and softether immediately started working again.
