purging logs

Post by david@rabboar.com » Wed Jul 06, 2016 12:55 pm

Hi

Is there a setting limiting log retention?

If not, is there an automated function for purging log files?

Thanks

thank you for your help.

however, I'm looking to purge old logs, and I have not found a reference to any setting or function to do that.

thank you for your help, not the place I would have looked, it's rather a roundabout way.

I wish there was a way to specify number of log generations, or lifespan, or a manual pruning function.

Did you read 'Minimum Disk Space Settings Values' section?

I did, and this does not really apply, it's not a dedicated server, and I'm not concerned with filling up a disk.

It's just that I see no need for logs going back years, or a drive with a huge allocations table.

This is not all that significant, and, I'll be purging manually.

Thanks, David L.
