android vpn not working after build 9651 upgrade

SoftEther VPN 4.24 Build 9651 Beta (October 23, 2017)

I have upgraded to this and all android clients are not working now...it is saying unsuccessful

the login is not even hitting the server logs.

any clues?

Are you using a specific client or the inbuilt android vpn? If not, why try OpenVPN Client, at least with that you'll get logs and some indications of the problem. FWIW, I use the OpenVPN client and I've recently upgraded to the most recent SoftEtherVPN version and connect without problems. Have you tried connecting locally with the SoftEther Server Manager and does that work or perhaps just a telnet to the correct server port?

All iOS and MacOS clients work, just not on Android

Yes we use inbuilt android VPN - I believe it is some teething problem with new version of SE.

Have you considered upgrading to the latest release?

I encountered the same issue.
My solution is very simple, downgrading to 9634 from 9651.
Then, the vpn connection recovered with Android8.0 and iOS11.
