Weird issue here...
SoftEther server installed on a Windows Server 2012 R2 box. SoftEther client works flawlessly from any other machine using NT domain auth - however the built-in Windows 8.1 VPN connection will not work no matter what settings I give it (even if I use the same username and password as in the SE client). Oddly enough, using a local user created in the SoftEther software allows the Windows 8.1 VPN client to connect. This is all with a shared key and ms-chapv2.
I am using a local bridge, and I have ports forwarded to the server from my gateway, though it doesn't connect locally either.
Any ideas?

Bumping... This software is great and my users love it - but I would love to be able to just push the VPN profile out via group policy and use the built in Windows client instead..

Could you try to specify PAP method in client?
