Can not share VPN on hotspot anymore!! HELP!

I used to be able to share the vpn over hotspot. In fact, this is the easiest client i've ever used because there's an option in the hotspot menu in windows 10 to share connection from "VPN - Client". I don't have to fiddle with command prompt or whatever like other vpn services.

The problem is I recently updated my computer and the option is on longer there

As you can see, "VPN - Client" which used to be there along with "Wifi" is no longer there.

and this is what happened after i connected the VPN. VPN works fine but it won't give me the option to connect.

The windows version i recenlty updated to:

Well, they haven’t fixed it.

I ended up downloading another app to use the hotspot instead of windows.

I had the same problem. Reinstalling the client resolved it but I had to do this every week or so.

So it’s been two years and they still haven’t fixed it tf??? Is this a windows problem? Or the app itself?

This is not a bug.
Win 10 doesn’t show it in the drop down because it doesn’t consider softether adapter a normal connection.
You can start a hotspot on any connection and go to the legacy network connection panel (ncpa.cpl) to share the network from softether adapter.
