IP not resolved by server DHCP

Post by jvhybl » Thu Jul 31, 2014 6:21 am

I have installed V4.09 Build 9451 on Windows 7 Ultimate.

After selecting a server (220.159.2.138) I am authenticated and an attempt is made to get an IP address.

This attempt quietly goes away with no address given and my IP address remains the same; however a public network adapter is created for an unknown network with no internet access.

I am new to this network stuff, please be gentle

Thanks

Did you use localbridge?

No. Is this a necessary step. I didn't see that step. I will try it.

Thanks

If you use localbridge, the server will direct dhcp request to the local network, hence the dhcp server on that network will issue an IP address.
On the other hand, if you use virtual networking, you can set the dhpc to be active there.
