Prevent remote admin

Post by skreien » Sat Aug 23, 2014 8:20 pm

Hi everyone,

I apologize if this has been asked before as I'm a newb to SoftEther, but how do I prevent remote administration sessions from the internet?

I only want to allow administration sessions from my internal network of 192.168.11.xxx. I am using the Windows administration program to remotely connect. I generated a ten character random password for the server administration password, but what's to prevent anyone from trying to connect as a remote admin and guessing the password?

Thanks!

With a strong password guesing would be nearly impossible.

Nearly impossible, yes. Securing it completely against administration from the outside would still be much better.

Nobody knows?

Write the adminip.txt file to restrict remote admin.
