Connection PC to LAN using VPN

Post by siuplug » Fri Oct 17, 2014 6:16 am

Hi all,

i have an automation iPC named Beckhoff with Windows 7 Operating system that planned to installed at Poland. How can i remote it using my PC at Indonesia?
The Beckhoff connected to hub on Machine panel and get IP 100.100.100.5.
My plan is, I put laptop that connected to the internet and i plug on the Hub. The laptop get IP 100.100.100.88. On the laptop I installed Softether Server, and on my PC i install Softether Client.
I already test to connect my PC on the VPN server on my laptop, and connected.

The question, how can i remote the BECKHOFF?

My PC (Softether Client) <=====abroad=====> Laptop (Softether Server) <---LAN---> BECKHOFF IPC

All is using Windows 7 Windows.

Thanks

The softether server should have a bridge connection to the lan.
Then you can reach all devices from you're client on the server lan.

So I should have a bridge connection. how if I just install Softether Client on both my PC (at Indonesia) and Laptop (at Poland) and connect on the same VPN server, and the laptop have bridge connection to the Beckhoff?

You can do that (server and client on the same laptop) but it makes no sense at all. The VPN server is needed to access the network the laptop connected is to. You do not need a VPN client on the laptop unless you want to connect to a VPN server on an other network which the laptop is not connected to..
