SoftEther and Windows Server 2025 (preview)

Hi.
SoftEther server 4.42 : does it work on Windows Server 2025 ?

Not for me. After install SoftEther an reboot Windows Server 2025, my ethernet conection lost WAN and LAN access. Even with static IP and gateway.

SoftEther installation is "basic", following some tutotials.
Any idea?

I had a similar issue with SoftEther on a different server version, and it turned out to be a conflict with the network adapter settings. You might want to try the following:

Go to your network settings and check if SoftEther created any virtual adapters that might be messing with your primary adapter.
Make sure the network adapter binding order prioritizes your main adapter over the virtual ones.
If that doesn't help, try disabling IPv6 temporarily—I've seen cases where it causes weird issues with VPN software.
Also, did you install the TAP driver during setup? Sometimes a faulty TAP installation can cause network drops like that.

Apologies for not replying sooner, I have been busy with other projects.
The Windows Server 2025 configuration appears to be correct.
I have left it unresolved and reverted to Windows 2022 where it does work correctly.
